February 20, 2003: UPDATE As of today we have an August 2003 showing of MacArthur Park on the Sundance Channel, we will update the site when you hear more. Since we have a limited number of shirts left and have raised over $3400.00 for 911, we are offering the remainder for $10.00 +4.00 for shipping in US & 10.00 +9.00 for out of US . It would be great to all have a shirt for the opening on cable of the film. A mass SHIRT IN I will include a copy of Billy's personal letter of Thank You with each shirt. Why a Shirt? When members spotted the MacArthur Park shirts on fans attending film festivals we started getting requests on where to get them. We decided to offer the shirt to fans to help promote MP and show support to Billy's Project. They started out as a promo for MP in Taos and we than gave any fan member attending a MP festival a shirt after that. Little did we know they would catch on. When we ran the idea by Billy he was kind enough to give his full support,and also very pleased with the fans wanting to support MacArthur Park, knowing how much it means to him. Before we could get the shirt project off the ground the tragedy of September 11th occured. After talking to Billy, we all wanted to do something for the nation and New York City being Billy's hometown also added to this. We decided this would be a great fund raiser for the Relief Fund. This money goes directly to NYC and the Fireman's Local, it is not part of the Liberty or United Funds. Billy was very pleased with this idea of the shirt being part of the healing process for the nation in it's own small way. The shirt is the copyright of Wirthwhile Productions/Billy Wirth Fan Club and available from the Fan Club only. Special thanks to Wirthwhile Productions and their photographer for their help with this effort. Be the first in your town to have a shirt before the film is released to the public, you can wear it to the opening. When the Cashiers Check is sent, we will post a copy on the site so everyone will know where your money is going. NEWS March 11th Special Thank You To Everyone We were able to send a check in the amount of $1200 thanks to the wonderful support of everyone in time for the six month anniversary. We are on our way toward another thousand so please keep the funds coming. July 24, 2002: UPDATE: Thanks too Fanclub Members, Billy Wirth Fans World Wide and the General Public we have raised another $800.00 for the fund and it will be sent in time for the one year anniversary.
