PRESS ANNOUNCEMENT FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

LITTLE STUDIO FILMS and PRETTY DANGEROUS FILMS join forces to expose a real life inspired medical scandal in the feature film "THE DRONE VIRUS"

Little Studio Films and Pretty Dangerous Films have started production on the controversial hospital thriller THE DRONE VIRUS, based on the novel by Dr. Gerald Clarke.

The indie film deals with the very real possibility of cyber technology affecting the functionality of high tech equipment such as MRI scanners, which are now used to detect traces of cancer and proof of remission in cancer patients, and with the politics and business dealings behind the medical field. The independent feature has garnered a strong cast of talented and established actors. The female lead is played by Maeve Quinlan starring opposite Billy Wirth, and with a supporting cast of Michael Ensign, Barbara Niven, Philip Boyd, Adrian Zmed, David Jean Thomas and upcoming child actress Talia Lynn Prairie. …

After establishing itself as a boutique literary management outfit, representing the likes of author Valerio Manfredi (ALEXANDER in development at Dino De Laurentis with Baz Luhrman directing) and a selective list of optioned writers and upcoming directors, LITTLE STUDIO FILMS makes it first foray into feature production utilizing the talent of their own client, director Damon O’Steen to bring the vision of the novel to the screen.

Alexia Melocchi, of LITTLE STUDIO FILMS, representing the director, and the author of the book, produces together with Ryan Johnson, President and CEO of PRETTY DANGEROUS FILMS, while LITTLE STUDIO FILMS’ Alexandra Yacovlef and PRETTY DANGEROUS FILMS’ Kevin Ragsdale Executive Produce.

Damon O’ Steen’ short film "WAITING ON THE LOST" and his training with Randall Wallace (BRAVEHEART), gave him the opportunity to demonstrate his ability in directing a feature of this quality.

Alexia Melocchi and Alexandra Yacovlef, the owners of Little Studio Films come from a 15 -year stint in worldwide distribution and will be handling the worldwide sales of the film.

LITTLE STUDIO FILMS is in development with a 4 picture slate of impressive projects, one of them being THE DRONE VIRUS, that are packaged from its literary division and director clientele and financed by a conglomerate of private investors and international film buyers.

Both Pretty Dangerous Films and Little Studio Films will donate part of the proceeds of this film to Saint Jude‘s Children Hospital.
