A Big Taos Hello, FROM MAX,PENNY & BETH!
Hello, on behalf of Penny, Beth and myself a BIG TAOS HELLO , it is a dream come true for us, we had been planning for weeks and never thought we would pull it off. Three Billy fans from different parts of the country getting together to enjoy MacArthur Park, meet and have fun. But here it is Thursday and we are getting ready for the Opening Nite. We will be checking out Elizabeth Taylor and all the Hollywood Types.
Friday will bring the Filmmakers Reception in the Plaza and off we will go on day one of the adventure. We would like to invite all fans to enjoy this adventure with us, to get a taste of the Southwest which just happens to be my favorite part of the country. We will try and get everyone a peek of Taos, the people, the festival and the filmmakers over our 4 days. From opening nite, filmmakers receptions, screenings, and the Award Gala. We will take everyone with us on this magic adventure.
We will be updating Cyn as the events take place and our personal take on the events. We will be adding photos, individual remarks and insights over the next four days and coming week. Please stay tuned.
Max,4/6/01 -- Reporting from Taos: The place is mobbed! Tickets are sold out! It snowed this morning but now the sun is out.We spent two hours in Santa Fe checking it out. Saw screening of Leif Tilden's BIG LOVE last night. Checked out FACE TO FACE with Dean Stockwell and Scott Baio.
We heard all the MacArthur Park screenings are sold out. We will check and let you know if this rumor is true.
Billy was interviewed last week by Radio Station KATO 101.9. Hope to catch a transcript when I get back. This afternoon is the filmmakers reception in Taos and this is the first evening MacArthur Park is playing.
The Award Show on Saturday Night - all finalists and tribute recipients are expected to attend - including Elizabeth Taylor and Gary Farmer. Leif Tilden is up for the George Meiles award.
