April 6, 2001 from Taos We found the public library and are stopping to say hi... hope you all got a big smile and we hope to have some great news tonight. The filmmakers reception is today from 5-7 and than it is off the 1st screening. We will give a call and update everyone after the screening. We did get a lobby card from Big Love and enjoyed the screening... The opening nite was great with 450 film goers.. it was funny to see Scott Baio all grown up and the producer... We got a little snow and they are saying more to come so cross your fingers for us.. Hoping to catch the Gary Farmer screening on Sunday.. Got the dress and shoes all set for the big gala.. how cool is it going to be check back and we will let you know.. it has been sold out for 2 days... April 8, 2001 from Taos Ok, so we didn't get to camp out on the land grant - but the star-studded awards gala was awesome. Over 400 people and it was interesting to be there. More hugs from Billy who has a great sense of humor. His friend, Stacy Shaak, director of promotion for MacArthur Park, Canadian filmmaker in his own right, is putting together the video of following MacArthur Park from Sundance to Taos to the next film festival. We hope the documentary will come together for the DVD of MacArthur Park. Stacy has been working with Billy for 3 years on the documentary part - so there is a lot of 'real' hardhitting footage. MacArthur Park hits you in the gut when you see it. We need to see this out there so more can see Billy's talent and passion for great work. Hugs from Maxine, Beth and Penny!

The Taos Talking Film Festival ran April 5 - 8th, and there was 3 screenings of MacArthur Park. Of the 25 features selected MacArthur Park made the cut as one of the 5 Finalists for the Land Grant Award. This award will be presented on April 7th. Maxine, Penny & Beth were there!
